Little Eaton Station - Coxbench Swift vol 8. DBYIM x2. MR Type 2b single 10'x10' flake with single finail. Wooden steps (12) toward traffic. Chimney at rear (gone by 1969). Wooden nameboard fixes to roof directly under gutter (i.e. away from eaves) fills whole with of box! Extra window on rear at door end. Locking room window flush with both side of box at non-steps end. No locking room window at steps end but locking room door is flush with rear, access to which is gained by a walkway as rear of box is suspened over banks of a brook. Pair of 3 bay hand worked gates. Box more or less intact with frame still in situ on 17JUN1969 but no signals visible, telegraph pole and wires to box visible in earlier views had gone and chimney was missing - suggesting box oou? Name board at MRT Butterley FWhiting from 18MAR1907 - MRT1992/9/7 Course of brook re-landscaped obliterating site of sb.

Little Eaton Village Crossing - Kilburn Swift vol 8 MR 3. Ground frame hut on platform at crossing end. Pitched roof with eaves and door facing platform edge. Window on N side toward rear of hut. Chimney toward rear of hut on S side. Instrument cupboard fixed to front of hut to N of door with electric bell above. Four 4 bay hand worked gates. 1. 12 lever MR Tumbler - Newman. 2. ? 3. Chimney at front. Casement window on front 4 panes wide x 2 high. Fixed window on non-door end 3 panes wide x 2 high. Windows on either side of door 1 pane wide by 2 high. Very tall home signals with Dn home carrying Kiburn's Dn distant. Known locally as "Joe Fearn's crossing" after Irish crossing keeper. Story in BT.12.3 about the gates being collected by a train and Fearn's reaction! Hardstanding overgrown. Odd bit of timber in undergrowth.

Sidings on Up side either side of crossing. Siding on station side controlled by g.f. - Swift. Not interlocked as of 1880 - Trade. Block Post not tablet station in 1893 (MR Weekly Notices). Commencement of single line section to Little Eaton Station. Replaced by g.f. on Up side which is still extant in 1998. Shunt frame w.e.f. 27JUL1968 - Gough. Signals removed and door window broken by 17JUN1969.

This is borne out by photographic evidence. Moved 29JUL1917, but listed after opening date of 16OCT17 - Gough. Location just S of speed calming on W side of B6179. W Smith - NUR1930 P.
