On 24th June 1904 the branch was divided into two section, Nutbrook Jn to Marlpool and Marlpool to Heanor. Nutbrook Jn held a circular shaped staff lettered "Nutbrook to Marlpool" on one side and "Marlpool to Nutbrook" on the reverse. Nutbrook Jn also held tickets which were white, printed “Down Nutbrook to Marlpool” and red “Up Marlpool to Nutbrook”. On the closing of Marlpool signal box the original crescent shaped staff was used. |
